Job Description

Job Summary

The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with international and local auditing standards, and managing a team of audit professionals. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to interact with clients effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing training and professional development opportunities.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports before partner’s review.
• Maintain client relationships and provide value-added insights and recommendations.
• Identify and assess risks in audit engagements and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely completion of audits in accordance with agreed-upon deadlines.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, where necessary, to ensure firm compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in audit and assurance.
  
  

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of audit experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in telecom and banks is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, IFRS, ISA, and local tax laws.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dari/Pashto is an advantage.
