Payment Methods Analyst

We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on Payment Methods Analyst to join our team and take ownership of how payments are handled and optimized across AVA’s global operations. This role is all about ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient payment experiences for our customers, while using data, automation, and performance insights to improve every part of our payment ecosystem.

The Payment Methods Analyst will manage the full lifecycle of our global payment operations—from onboarding new payment methods and monitoring daily execution to analyzing performance, handling fraud and disputes, and helping scale operations effectively. You’ll be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, reducing costs, and enhancing reliability while collaborating with internal teams to keep AVA’s payment experience world-class.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on digging into data, testing hypotheses, solving operational challenges, and implementing smarter, AI-driven workflows. Your work will help us streamline internal processes, scale globally, and keep our customers’ payment journey seamless and secure.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor global and local payment methods, ensuring high performance and minimal friction.
• Analyze data across markets, channels, and cost points to identify trends and opportunities.
• Handle chargebacks, disputes, and fraud cases with accuracy and speed.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams on ongoing payment initiatives.
• Lead the onboarding and QA of new PSPs and payment flows.
• Build reports and dashboards to track KPIs, trends, and anomalies (Excel a must; BI tools a plus)
• Support automation and process optimization across the payment lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Native-level English—written and spoken.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with online payment systems (e.g., credit cards, PayPal, APMs).
• At least 1 year of experience handling chargebacks and fraud investigations.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who can manage their own time, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
