Job Description

Job Summary:

The Access Officer ensures safe and sustained access to project sites by monitoring local dynamics and building strong community relationships. This role supports risk mitigation efforts and enables the delivery of humanitarian and development programs in sensitive locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Monitoring & Analysis:
• Track local security trends and provide timely updates to field teams.
• Conduct access assessments for new or existing project areas.
• Identify and address access constraints in collaboration with program staff.
• Stakeholder Liaison:
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with community leaders and local authorities.
• Represent SGOA in local coordination platforms, as required.
• Field Support & Coordination:
• Coordinate with logistics and program teams to plan safe travel and field missions.
• Provide access briefings and support emergency preparedness efforts.

• Soft Skills:
• Effective communicator and negotiator.
• Culturally sensitive with strong interpersonal skills.
• Other Requirements:
• Fluency in local languages.
