Full Stack Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Team Lead to head our Tel Aviv engineering team, working on the cutting edge of Large Language Model (LLM) technology. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer proficient in Python and scalable system architecture, with a strong foundation in AI-driven backend solutions.

As a leader, you'll drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and manage a diverse, bilingual team (English & Hebrew), fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Strong interpersonal skills are critical, as you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and reliable AI-powered backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of backend engineers to design, develop, and scale high-performance backend services, primarily in Python.
• Define and drive architectural decisions for large-scale, AI-driven systems, with a focus on LLM-powered solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend teams, DevOps, and AI researchers to build scalable AI-driven applications.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, foster growth, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Contribute to technical roadmap planning and execution, especially in the domain of LLM integration and AI infrastructure.
• Identify and proactively address performance bottlenecks, security risks, and system improvements.
• Manage a diverse team and ensure smooth communication in both English and Hebrew.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years in a team leader position.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience designing scalable system architectures.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working with LLMs, AI-driven applications, or machine learning infrastructure.
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience managing diverse teams in English & Hebrew.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Background in collaborating across teams with different stacks.
• Familiarity with project and task management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday, ClickUp) to support team planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in AI/ML production environments and MLOps best practices.
• Background in agile, collaborative environments.
• Experience in on-prem environments.
