Join a thriving Israeli-American tech company, established nearly 20 years ago, which developed a successful B2C and B2B platform connecting millions of users across the US through an innovative and highly successful platform (web + mobile).
We're seeking an experienced PHP Backend Developer to join the agile Backend team in Jerusalem (conveniently located near the train station).
Your Role:
- Design and develop reliable, scalable production core services used daily by millions of app users.
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure to provide a reliable and scalable platform for internal teams.
- Develop modules and tools to streamline development and deployment processes for other backend teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, inspiring others to maintain high standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing.
Tech Stack:
- Primarily PHP, with elements of Python and Node.js.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, KV stores (Redis, DynamoDB), AWS/GCP.
This is a hybrid position (Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from the office in Jerusalem and Tuesday and Thursday from home)
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
- Solid PHP experience – mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with relational DB engines (SQL, MySQL) – mandatory.
- Experience with Docker in Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Kafka, KV stores (Redis, DynamoDB), AWS/GCP – advantage.
- Experience with JavaScript and React – advantage.
- Excellent understanding of OOP concepts and best practices.
- Independent, accountable, team-oriented, and smart working style.
- English at a mother-tongue level.
