What You Will Be Doing
As an Inspection & Integration Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Testing and troubleshooting optical systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Conducting visual inspections of components and assembled systems to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
- Assembling and gluing optical components and fibers with high precision according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of production data, test results, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborating with the design team, mechanical engineering, quality control, and production departments to streamline assembly processes.
- Providing recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize production costs.
- Adhering to strict safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
What We Need to See
- Proficiency in using specialized hand tools, measuring instruments, and optical testing equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in various Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality control measures specific to optical assembly.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in optical assembly or a related field.
- Experience with small tolerances and high-precision components.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts during peak times.
- Capability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and precision.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines for handling sensitive optical components.
