Process Engineer

The candidate for this position will be responsible for designing and developing new or improved Sugar-reduction systems. Monitoring the operations of our systems, including quality and compliance. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The candidate must have strong technical abilities to succeed in this role. 

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop new production equipment and processes.
• Coordinate and perform tests.
• Analyze data to develop conclusions.
• Install, maintain, and inspect equipment and facilities.
• Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
• Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
• Investigate and troubleshoot problems.
• Ensure that equipment works to its specifications and appropriate capacities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Well-experienced in AutoCAD / MATLAB / Simulink
• Familiarity with process control
• Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems
• Direct experience with the use of spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present data
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight
• Two to five years of experience in a production or R&D environment.
• Project management experience is a plus
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
