Today engines are about half of Carnot efficiency, while Carnot efficient cycles produce negligible output power. Lava invented the first thermodynamic cycle that can reach the Carnot efficiency while producing high output power (~1MW). Lava offers reducing CO2 emission by half. We also invented isothermal heat pump for district heating, cooling datacenters and replacing gas boilers. we are now improving the efficiency of the engine and heat pump, with a lot of testing.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer / Applied physics, experimentalist at Lava facilities (Mainly at Sdot Yam). As part of my R&D group, I am looking for someone to test the engine and the heat pump, with understanding in mechanics (pumps, pressure systems, flow systems), thermodynamics, working closely with the developers to improve system efficiency.

The role will involve day-to-day tasks related to mechanical engineering, project management, and research and development (R&D).
