One of our clients, a leading and well-funded startup at the forefront of machine and deep learning analytics, is looking to hire a Big Data Developer to join their innovative R&D team. This company builds advanced applications for intelligence and law enforcement agencies, enabling them to derive actionable insights from complex structured and unstructured data.

You'll join a back-end team of five developers and report directly to the team lead. The role includes designing high-quality data processing solutions, writing efficient data pipelines, and working in a hybrid environment—cloud-based development with on-premises client deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines using Scala and Spark
Design end-to-end data flows from ingestion to storage within a microservices architecture
Collaborate with team members through code reviews and technical discussions
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend components
Work with advanced technologies including Kubernetes, object storage, and real-time data processing tools

Required Qualifications:

At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Scala or other high-level languages such as Java, Go, C#, or C++
5+ years of experience with Big Data tools such as Spark, Kafka, or Flink
Strong knowledge and experience in building microservices
Experience with databases like Elasticsearch, Cassandra, ClickHouse, or Postgres
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
