R&D Lab Engineer - job description

About Us:

TherMagiX is an emerging deep-tech, clean-tech startup in the field of energy harvesting.

We seek a creative, self-driven, multidisciplinary engineer to take lead device lab tests.

Key Responsibilities:

●         Develop systems for the conversion of low-grade heat into electricity.

●         Translate ideas into device-level solutions and future product design. 

●         Experimental design, system instrumentation, data curation and analysis. 

●         Intimate work with other team members, connecting simulations, tests and design

Required Qualifications:

●         Background and education: MSc/PhD in Mechanical engineering or similar discipline, with strong emphasis on fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer. 

Alternatively: proven experience with independent experimental work.  

●         Experience in leading others. 

Alternatively: proven records of independent multi-disciplinary work.

●         Self-driven, independent and creative, while focused on timeline and results. 

●         Good human relations, with experience collaborating with multidisciplinary groups and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Advantages:

●         Proven track record of successfully executing development programs from concept creation to market-ready products.

●         Experience with Acoustics or Thermoacoustic systems

●         Specific experience in heat transfer systems
