B2Tech is expanding its Retail Technology team and is seeking a Senior Java Android Engineer with a passion for long-term impact.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping and developing the tools that power our retail infrastructure—from Android POS solutions to backend services and internal platforms.
This is a small but highly motivated team managing a range of essential retail technologies, including POS systems, cashbox integration, wrappers, back-office tools, ePAPI, print services, SQL, and cloud-based monitoring solutions like Cloudflare and Logz.io.
Your Impact
- Lead and contribute to the development of Android applications using Java;
- Design and build robust Android backend services using Java and Kotlin.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability across both frontend and backend systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, including backend developers, Android engineers, and product owners.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- Proven development experience in native Android apps using Java.
- Kotlin knowledge is not required for current projects, but will be valuable for upcoming work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Passionate about code quality, reusability, and performance optimization.
- Willingness to contribute long-term and continuously improve our platforms and products.
- Experience in POS systems or retail technologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Logz.io and similar logging/monitoring solutions.
- Exposure to print services and cashbox wrappers
