Cybersecurity & Information Security Team Leader

Mertens-Malam Team is hiring a Cybersecurity & Information Security Team Leader for a major defense organization in Ramla

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled professional to lead an application-level cybersecurity team. The role includes full responsibility for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity infrastructure and security systems, including antivirus, firewalls, IPS, DLP, access control, endpoint protection, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 10 cybersecurity professionals.
• Plan, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions and security policies.
• Design and oversee secure network architecture tailored to organizational needs and evolving cyber threats.
• Evaluate and integrate security technologies into the organization’s IT infrastructure.
• Develop hardening and protection documentation for network components (OS, databases, communication networks, applications, storage, endpoints, etc.).
• Lead response and investigation of security incidents from both technical and procedural aspects.
• Support the design of monitoring and alert systems for a centralized security operations center (SOC).
• Conduct initial incident response and threat analysis.
• Implement day-to-day security procedures such as user account management, password policies, and secure device usage.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
• Proven experience managing cybersecurity/information security teams.
• Experience in large-scale environments (1,000+ users).
• In-depth familiarity with a wide range of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
• Strong background in incident investigation and technical forensics.
• Experience writing incident reports and cybersecurity procedures.
• Advantage: Experience leading secure development projects.
• Advantage: Background in building and managing SIEM/SOC infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Advantage: Experience in Linux-based environments and open-source security solutions.
• Advantage: Knowledge of enterprise storage systems (HP, IBM, NetApp) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
• Advantage: Experience in malware analysis and threat hunting.
• Advantage: CISO certification and/or CISM, CISSP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew.
