Head of FP&A

About The Position

Okoora is seeking an exceptionally sharp, analytical, and hands-on Head of FP&A to build and lead our Financial Planning & Analysis function. This individual will be responsible for creating a best-in-class financial monitoring and insights infrastructure, including full control over transactional and operational financial flows. The Head of FP&A will manage a small team and work closely with the CFO and CEO, delivering clear financial insights, protecting revenue, and preventing leakage.

This is a highly strategic and operational role in a fast-scaling fintech infrastructure company.

• Financial Control & Monitoring
• Build and operate a control system across all financial transactions – both company-side and client-side
• Monitor the flow of client funds, FX deals, commissions, and treasury activity
• Identify discrepancies, risks, errors, and inefficiencies in financial flows
• Client Funds Oversight
• Establish rigorous controls to track, reconcile, and protect customer money
• Ensure daily visibility on client balances across internal systems and external accounts
• Operational Cost Controls
• Build an auditing framework to monitor fees charged by banks, processors, and liquidity providers
• Identify supplier overcharges, hidden fees, and cost inefficiencies
• Revenue Integrity & Billing Assurance
• Validate that all client-side billing mechanisms (product, platform, manual) are working as expected
• Ensure no client is undercharged, overcharged, or missed entirely
• Partner with product and tech teams to audit pricing engines and automate alerts
• Strategic FP&A & Investor Reporting
• Build and maintain budgeting models, cash forecasts, and P&L analyses
• Own internal dashboards for executive decision-making
• Maintain the company’s financial data room and investor-ready materials
• Generate clear, sharp monthly/quarterly reporting packages for management and board
  
  

• 3+ years in FP&A / finance / analytics roles with increasing responsibility
• Prior experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth startup preferred
• Strong command of financial models, variance analysis, pricing logic
• Experience managing others (at least 1–2 reports)
• High proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with SQL, BI tools, and ERP systems
• Deep analytical mind, attention to detail, strong communication skills
• Ability to move fast, think critically, and take full ownership of results
