Senior PM (IL) - Lead Banking & SMB

About The Role

april is a leading tax solution embedded in financial platforms.

By embedding tax services such as tax planning, optimization and filing, we provide a one stop shop for individuals and SMBs to manage their finances holistically and optimally, and deepen customer relationships with the embedding partner.

april operates in a squad model aligned with customer segments.

In this position, you will lead our Banking and SMB segments, owning everything from customer experience and customer value, to enterprise value for the embedding partners.

In this role you will set the strategy, roadmap, and requirements. You will work very closely with the engineers and designers for the squad you will lead, and collaborate with other squads.

This role reports directly to the founder who oversees product @april.

Responsibilities

• Make an impact. Create and run products that improve the financial lives of millions of taxpayers.
• Own and operate. Lead april’s product geared towards the banking and SMB segments, like tax filing, payroll optimization and tax consultation.
• Build. You will drive forward product development processes for all aspects of the product through the entire lifecycle from ideation to launch to iteration and adaptation through daily prioritization and collaboration with your team and stakeholders.
• Be the client & the taxpayer. Ensure our banking and SMB clients reach their goals in implementing april and align around better serving the taxpayer at the same time.
• Communicate. Clearly document your decisions and roadmap to share with the entire organization to facilitate clarity and mutual understanding of reasoning.
• Strategize. Craft and execute longer term product strategy in collaboration with the whole development organization.
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Product Management.
• Experience with B2B2C embedded applications
• Experience in Fintech
• A strong bias towards execution
• Operate simultaneously at both a strategic level and deep dive into day to day operations and technical details and complexity with ease.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
