About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and results-driven Data Operations Team Leader to lead and scale our data operations function. This role is critical in ensuring our data infrastructure, pipelines, governance, and operational processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with business goals. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, analytics, and compliance teams to support data initiatives and foster a data-first culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute the data operations strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Lead and grow a high-performing data operations team, including data engineers, data analysts, and operations specialists.
• Establish best practices and KPIs for data operations and continuously improve efficiency.
• Data Infrastructure & Pipeline Management
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Ensure data availability, quality, and timeliness for internal and external
• stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Enablement
• Work closely with data science, engineering, BI, and business units to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Facilitate self-service data capabilities while ensuring data integrity and usability.

Requirements

·         4+ years of experience in data operations, analytics, or data engineering.

·        1–2+ years of experience leading a team or acting as a DA team leader

·        Must have MS excel proficiency to transform and present data from a variety of sources

• Strong understanding of modern data architecture (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, real-time processing).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Proven experience in managing large-scale data systems and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience in practical use of tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks to deliver data automation and transformation projects, is in an advantage.

·        Experience with indirect tax data projects an advantage

• Experience managing a small data team, both locally in Israel and abroad
• 2–4 years of experience in data-related roles, including some experience in a leadership or coordination position
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or a related field — an MBA is a plus
• A fintech background is an advantage! Especially in a similar role as a team leader
• Managing a Data Analyst team at a fintech company is also an advantage
• Comfortable working in agile environments and cross-functional setups
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Fluency in Hebrew and English (written and verbal) is an advantage
