We are developing a real-time AI and advanced optics based product classification system that ensures better quality, transparency, and animal welfare, bringing cutting-edge technology to one of the world’s largest food sectors.

Role Description

We are looking for a Co-Founder, Head of AI to take full ownership of the algorithmic and data intelligence side of the company.

You will design and lead the development of the models that power our classification technology, from early-stage R&D through to industrial deployment.

This is a founding-level role, ideal for someone who thrives in uncertainty, is motivated by impact, and wants to build something truly transformative from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and validation of the company’s core AI algorithms
• Build data processing and model training pipelines for complex and unbalanced datasets
• Translate research results into robust, production ready models
• Collaborate closely with optics, hardware, and product teams to integrate AI into a real-world industrial system
• Shape the company’s data and AI strategy as we grow, including building and mentoring future teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine learning, signal analysis and computer vision.
• Experience moving from R&D to real-world or industrial environments.
• Solid analytical and coding skills (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a love for experimentation
• Preferably MSc or PhD in AI, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
