Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative chemist to join our R&D department. The role involves contributing to the materials development of one of our primary product lines.

At Addionics, a fast growing startup, we are revolutionizing battery technology. Our smart 3D cell design allows a step-change in battery performance. By focusing on battery physics, we can achieve higher energy density, lower charging time, and improved heat safety. We are a venture-backed startup based in the US, London and Tel Aviv, at an exciting growth stage.

As part of this job, you will be involved in developing practical methods to manufacture 3D structured current collectors for lithium-ion batteries that will power the world's most advanced batteries. The ability to take a practical approach to develop technologies that support large-volume production based on the company's core technology is essential.

You will report to the material team leader in the R&D department and work collaboratively with other R&D and Operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting lab research and pilot line experiments
• Developed new materials from laboratory research through to large-scale production, including comprehensive evaluation and analysis.
• Characterized materials and selected analytical techniques aligned with targeted property specifications.
• Documentation, analysis, evaluation, and presentation of the experimental results
• Creative thinking for solving research-related problems
• Literature review and summary of the results

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry, Material Sciences, or related field . Advanced degree - must
• At least 5 years of industry experience - Advantage
• Experience with a range of chemical characterization techniques and analytical instruments.- Advantage
• Proven experience with UV-curable materials, including their formulation, processing, and performance evaluation - Advantage
• Experience working safely with hazardous materials
• Ability to record, analyze, and evaluate test results · ·
• Ability to conduct a science literature review
• Development and implementation of a work plan with a strict timetable
• Positive, self-learner, proactive, independent, and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Hands-on work
• Excellent teamwork capabilities
• Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks in different fields
• Languages: full proficiency in Hebrew and English
