About The Job

Our fast-growing organization is looking for a talented FinOps. In this position you will be responsible for our customers AWS and Azure Cost Optimization Data Analyst focused on forecasting cloud spending, allocating, budgeting cloud spending, and recommendations for cloud optimizations

Responsibilities

• Investigate and understand the basis for every line item on our cloud infrastructure invoices
• Optimize performance to spend where you need to and redistribute resources
• Suggest areas for improving spend by finding better rates or improved technology
• Find anomalies in usage patterns and give quick feedback to course-correct
• Predict, plan, and ensure resource utilization to estimate the need for the future and negotiate a discount or pre-allocate resources
• Create business intelligence reporting to inform the broader organization and empower other teams to facilitate cost optimization and minimize waste
• Assist in architectural designs and decisions
• Having real-time data you can predict and make decisions to optimize costs
• Review customer's cloud infrastructure and produce cost optimization reports on a monthly basis
  
  

• Data-driven and detail-oriented; testing and measuring every step
• Knowledge of relevance monitoring and measuring to identify areas for improvement
• Automate everything you can
• Keep up to date on the latest cloud products and trends
• Be able to consolidate several streams of information to see the big picture
• Curious about every detail and strive to understand the basis for your data fully
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure pricing ( Saving Plan, RI )
  
  

• Junior DevOps - advantage
• Cloud Certification - advantage
• Intimate familiarity with the cost structure of AWS and Azure products and services
• Real-world experience with BI and/or cost tracking tools such as PowerBI or AWS QuickSight – advantage
• Experience in negotiating long-term commitments and contracts broad knowledge of MSPs and third-party software platforms
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
