CTO | Founding Engineer

Today we are scaling up to an early-stage startup that aims to disrupt the fashion industry. We're passionate about supporting emerging designers and independent labels, and we're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team. 

About the role / Job Summary:

We seek a hands-on CTO | Founding Engineer to lead our technical vision and execution. As a key executive team member, you will build and guide our technology strategy, develop our MVP, and impact our product from design to launch. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and building a high-performing tech team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about building, not just coding.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's mission and business objectives..
• Refine, improve, and launch our MVP.
• Lead and manage the technology team, including hiring, training, and developing the team members.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team.
• Take full ownership of the system architecture and technical execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology integration and achieve business goals.
• Manage the technology budget and optimize resource allocation.

Qualifications:

• Entrepreneurial & hacker mindset: Speed is a must!
• Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader in a fast-paced (5+ years), high-growth startup environment. Founding team experience is highly preferred.
• Extensive full-stack engineering experience, including building applications from scratch (preferably marketplaces), data analysis, integrations, and AI chatbots/agents.
• Full-time commitment and dedication to driving the technology vision.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and technologies.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the fashion tech industry is a plus.
