Backend Team Lead

What will you do?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Team Lead to join our dynamic startup. As a key member of our team, you will spearhead the design and development of scalable and robust backend systems that drive our innovative automated retail solutions. These solutions leverage advanced technologies including Robotics, ML, AI, Gen-AI, and Big Data. The successful candidate will excel in a dynamic and demanding environment and be a strong advocate for clean code and clean architecture principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the backend software team
• Uphold coding and architecture standards across the backend code
• Ensure quality and reliability of the backend systems
• Mentor other team members and perform code reviews
• Work together with our Software Architect and other team members in designing the backend

solutions needed to meet the company’s challenges

Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience with software development
• 3 years of experience as a team lead
• Experience with Java and the JVM eco-system (Kotlin experience - bonus)
• Experience with C# and the .NET eco-system
• Experience with various database (SQL and no-SQL) systems
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS / Azure)
