Head of Accounting

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Accounting to lead our accounting department and oversee the financial operations of the company and its subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Manage and supervise the accounting and bookkeeping team, including performance management, training, and development.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare accurate and timely quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare documentation and support for income tax and VAT audits.
• Review and monitor accounts receivable and payable, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including international taxation and VAT.
• Report directly to the VP of Finance on all accounting matters.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Mandatory, with experience gained from a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience, gained either from a Big 4 accounting firm or within an organization.
• Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting team, with excellent employee motivation and teamwork skills.
• Significant advantage: Knowledge and experience in international taxation.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
