Supply Chain Manager / Director

Industry: Medical Device (Pre-Commercial Stage)

Position Summary: Our client, an innovative medical device startup in the pre-commercial phase, is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Supply Chain Manager / Director to lead and optimize their complex, multidisciplinary supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring supply readiness and operational excellence while supporting clinical, R&D, and future commercial activities.

The ideal candidate brings 7-10+ years of supply chain experience in the medical device industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. A proven track record of operating within ISO13485, FDA QSR environments, and strong cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the supply chain strategy aligned with clinical, R&D, and commercial goals.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary supply chain team (planning, procurement, warehousing, logistics).
• Act as a strategic partner to R&D, Production, Engineering, and Quality functions.
• Oversee supplier management, CMO coordination, and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO13485, FDA QSR, and other applicable standards.
• Monitor risks, drive continuous improvement, and ensure scalability.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in critical activities while providing leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business (Master’s preferred).
• 7-10 years of supply chain experience in the medical device industry (required).
• 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary supply chain teams.
• Pre-commercial/startup experience is a strong advantage.
• Deep knowledge of ISO13485, FDA QSR, and related compliance.
• ERP experience, preferably Priority.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
