Configuration Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Polarion ALM Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation and support of the Polarion Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system, ensuring optimal system performance and assisting users in maximizing its tools. Additionally, the role will focus on facilitating the migration from IBM DOORS to Polarion and supporting teams in the transition to modern, integrated tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the migration from IBM DOORS to Polarion, ensuring data accuracy and smooth team transitions.
• Configure and customize Polarion to meet the needs of various projects and teams.
• Provide training, create documentation, and support users in adapting to the Polarion system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system performance and integration with other tools like Azure DevOps.
• Monitor system health, apply updates, and ensure the system is running efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project management and reporting within Polarion.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in supporting and managing Polarion ALM or similar application lifecycle tools.
• Experience with IBM DOORS and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Polarion ALM or related tools.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Groovy).
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and integration tools.
