Assistant Controller

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting. The Assistant Controller will report to the Director of Finance.

This position is a hands-on position, interacting and coordinating with colleagues in various operational departments to ensure proper accounting treatment, execution of accounting functions, and reporting of results.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX compliance, internal policies, and external regulatory requirements..
• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Work closely with the controller's team and the Director of Finance on various special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
• Assist with the implementation of automated tools, accounting systems, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and other departments to ensure alignment across reporting and compliance.
  
  

Requirements

• CPA with 2-3 years of professional experience - Must.
• Licensed CPA - Must.
• Internship in one of the Big 4 - Must.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP - Must.
• Experience with the NetSuite ERP system - an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to demonstrate the ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented and have the confidence in dealing with people at all levels within the organization.
