Description
Vulnerability Research Infrastructure Engineer Team Lead
About Us
Paragon is a leading cyber intelligence company headquartered in Tel Aviv. As we expand, we're seeking skilled individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of engineering a safer future.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a fast learner and independent thinker to join us as a Vulnerability Research Infrastructure Engineer – Team Lead. In this role, you’ll lead a team focused on building advanced infrastructure that empowers vulnerability research and reverse engineering.
Your work will span system internals, algorithmic tooling, and integrations with platforms like IDA, Ghidra, QEMU, and others. You’ll guide the design and development of internal frameworks, drive innovation in vulnerability discovery and exploit automation, and help shape the future of our security research capabilities.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- As the team lead, you’ll guide the development of advanced tooling and infrastructure that supports cutting-edge vulnerability research. This includes designing systems integrated with tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, JEB, QEMU, and others, as well as applying algorithmic and heuristic techniques to streamline and automate tasks such as vulnerability discovery, exploit development, and reverse engineering workflows.
- You’ll manage and mentor a team of engineers, working closely with security researchers to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, high-impact solutions. You’ll also drive deep technical investigations into OS internals and application behaviors to enable powerful analysis and research capabilities across a range of platforms.
- You have 3+ years of experience in low-level systems programming, reverse engineering, or infrastructure development, with a strong grasp of Unix-like OS internals. You’re fluent in multiple programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Rust, Go, or Java, and you’re comfortable working with reverse engineering tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, and JEB. You bring a solid foundation in algorithmic thinking and have applied heuristics to solve complex, technical problems at scale.
- In addition to your technical expertise, you have experience leading engineering teams—whether through formal management or technical leadership roles. You know how to mentor and grow engineers, drive team productivity, and balance hands-on work with strategic direction. Familiarity with tools like gdb and Frida, and exposure to fuzzing, emulation (e.g., QEMU), compiler frameworks (e.g., LLVM), or mobile security research are all strong advantages
- Work on unique meaningful projects at the forefront of cybersecurity research infrastructure.
- Access to world-class researchers and mentors for continuous learning.
- Collaborative and innovative work environment where your contributions are valued.
