DevOps Engineer

A profitable Israeli startup company developing an open-source platform — a professional tool for website development.

The platform is designed for WordPress professionals, with users including developers, designers, and marketing experts.

The role involves joining a team focused on cost optimization, efficiency, and financial accountability, through the planning, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure.

The company has around 350 employees and is located in Ramat Gan, close to a train line.

The position offers a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week.

Responsibility-

● Monitor and analyze cloud costs, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency

● Develop automated cost-control mechanisms to ensure cost-efficient cloud usage.

● Continuously improve our infrastructure to be more secure, scalable, and cost-efficient

● Provide clear visibility into cloud expenditures through dashboards and reporting tools

● Collaborate Work with Finance and Engineering teams to align cloud costs with business

goalscloud spending with business needs

● Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

● Optimize Kubernetes workloads and GKE clusters to balance performance and cost

● Research and apply new technologies to improve efficiency in cloud operations

● Control and develop monitoring and observability solutions, integrating cost metrics

Requirements-

● At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes

● Knowledge and experience with cloud vendors such as GCP/AWS – Must

● Experience in cloud cost management, budgeting, and FinOps strategies – Advantage

● Hands-on experience in production environments – Must

● Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab – Must

● Experience with cloud cost analysis tools– Advantage

● Experience with Terraform or other provisioning tools – Advantage

● Experience with highly available, 24/7 production systems – Advantage
