The Role

As an ML Engineer, you'll have significant influence on our technical direction and product decisions. You'll be one of the first engineering hires, helping to establish our technical foundation and engineering culture.

What you'll do

• Design and implement state-of-the-art ML models and training pipelines
• Develop and optimize model architectures for specific AI applications
• Implement efficient training strategies in PyTorch with multinode capabilities
• Create robust inference systems for production deployments
• Build high-performance solutions in Python, with some Rust and Golang
• Design CUDA optimizations for ML workloads
• Collaborate with AI researchers to bring novel technologies to life
• Shape technical strategy and architecture from the ground up

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning and deep learning techniques
• Strong understanding of reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms and implementations
• PyTorch expertise for model development and distributed training
• Python proficiency for ML implementation and data processing
• Experience with large language models and transformer architectures
• Familiarity with CUDA for performance optimization
• Basic understanding of systems programming (Rust/Golang beneficial)
• Experience with multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) is a plus
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
