Quantum Source is making scalable, useful quantum computers a reality. We are a young, dynamic, and extraordinary multidisciplinary company which combines the skills of quantum physics, optics, mechanical engineering, hardware, firmware, and software.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Photonics Engineer to join our Photonic Integrated Circuits team. In this role you will be responsible for conducting integrated photonics design, process development, and characterization with a particular focus on developing devices for quantum computing applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of experimental silicon photonics. However, we also welcome applications from engineers with substantial experience in developing other electro-optical devices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop silicon photonic devices from concept to completion. This includes

simulation, production layout, testing, and analysis.

• Lead research projects to improve device performance beyond industry standards.

• Deal with all related PIC design consideration, including optical characteristics, active phase

control (thermal and electro-optical), optical coupling and more

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in electro-optics.

• Demonstrated expertise in optical measurement techniques and data analysis, with a focus on

characterizing electro-optical components using fiber-based or free-space optical setups.

• At least 3 years of industry experience in the development of electro-optical components and

systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with integrated photonic devices and technologies, including optical

materials, waveguides, lasers, detectors, and their characterization.
