Join the Network and Edge Group (NEX) to plan, develop and sell infrastructure acceleration solutions using Infrastructure Processing Units (IPU) in the Cloud, Telco and Enterprise market segments.
Join our Hardware Engineering team focused on HW design and Electrical Compliance development and characterization.
You will be exposed to High-Speed I/O protocols such as PCIe Gen6, DDR5, and PAM4 112Gbps Ethernet, which are a part of our Ethernet Infrastructure Processing Unit (Intel IPU) and Foundation NIC (FNIC) 200G Ethernet product lines.
We propose a position in a dynamic and flexible workplace, working directly with highly capable design, system, and pre/post-silicon teams within the organization.
The position requires familiarity with high-frequency signal measurement as well as knowledge of RF circuits and electromagnetic wave propagation.
It comprises protocol specification and signal-integrity issue solutions based on your hardware and software capabilities.
You will be responsible for developing characterization and optimization test methodologies, as well as defining the appropriate measurement assets and analysis methods to assure the performance of our products.
You will collaborate closely with silicon design teams, IP suppliers for physical interfaces, and standards committee teams.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- B.Sc./M.Sc in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Lab hands-on experience in high speed signal measurement
- Knowledge of very high-speed digital communication test methodologies
- Operating test equipment such as high-end Oscilloscopes, VNA, TDR, BERT's, etc.
- Programming skills at one or more language such as C++/python/MATLAB
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Understanding of signal integrity, transmission line theory, analog circuits, and high-speed signal processing
- Highly motivated team player
- Technical leadership experience
- Experience debugging bugs at the circuit board level in analog and digital domains utilizing lab test equipment
- Practical understanding of statistics and statistical analysis software
