Skechers is looking for a Financial Controller to lead the finance function for our Israel business. This is a key role in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment — with plenty of opportunity to make improvements, influence the bigger picture, and work with a brilliant global brand. You’ll lead all aspects of financial management, reporting, and planning, with responsibility for a great team of four. The role reports into me (VP Finance, EMEA) and works closely with both our senior team in Israel and the wider business across Europe and the US. We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical experience (US GAAP, cash flow, FP&A, statutory), but equally someone who’s resilient, focused, and able to priorities effectively. Someone who’s not afraid to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and get stuck in.

The role is based in Holon, five days a week onsite.

What you’ll be doing

As Financial Controller for Skechers Israel, you’ll lead the finance and accounting function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Your remit will span everything from day-to-day control through to strategic insight and process improvement.

• Own all aspects of financial management, accounting, and reporting, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, delivering accurate, insightful reporting to Israeli senior management, EMEA leadership, and Skechers HQ based in the US
• Manage financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting, and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and forecasting to support business planning
• Oversee revenue recognition, inventory, and pricing processes
• Prepare statutory and tax filings and liaise with external accountants and auditors
• Partner with banks, credit providers, and regulatory bodies
• Continuously assess and improve internal controls, systems, and processes
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to enhance performance and support business growth
• Build strong relationships across the organization, working closely with the local leadership team and stakeholders across EMEA and the US
• Lead and coach a team of four, setting high standards for collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Skills and Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) — mandatory
• 8+ years’ experience in a senior finance role with responsibility for full financial ownership
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with US GAAP — mandatory
• Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Experience managing finance in an organization with annual revenue over 100 million NIS
• Prior experience in an international and/or retail company — an advantage
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to see the bigger business picture
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams
• Resilient, pragmatic, and confident with strong prioritization skills and gravitas
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Highly proficient in Excel — mandatory
• Fluent English — mandatory
• Experience working with Priority ERP — an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships across multiple functions and geographies
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy, structure, and clear communication
