Senior Infrastructure Engineer

A leading Startup in Tel Aviv is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to play a critical role in developing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that supports our SaaS applications and advanced machine learning/data engineering stack.

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes. You’ll work closely with our data and development teams to enhance our security posture and ensure compliance. Your primary objective is to build and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that facilitates our rapid growth and fosters innovation, with a particular focus on observability and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, implementation, and upkeep of our cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement DevOps processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Drive improvements in security, compliance, and observability across the infrastructure.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud environment.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering in production environments.
• Strong expertise in managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Practical knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (ELK, Splunk).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) and version control systems (Git).
• Experience in automating CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
• In-depth understanding of cloud networking, including VPNs, VPCs, DNS, and firewalls.
• Strong expertise in implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and key management.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment is highly valued.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
