BI and Data Engineer Tech Lead

Position Overview: As a BI and Data Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining robust data management systems and data presentation using BI. You will ensure these systems meet business requirements, adhere to industry best practices for security and integrity, and contribute to the development of data modeling and mining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, construct, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and uphold industry best practices for security and integrity.
• Develop and optimize data set processes for efficient data modeling, mining, analysis and production.
• Integrate new data management technologies and tools into existing systems.
• Create custom software components and applications for data analytics. Utilize a variety of languages and tools to integrate systems and processes effectively.
• Recommend improvements to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate closely with data architects, modelers, and IT team members to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions and driving business impact through data insights.
• Strong Python knowledge with the ability to write efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Proficiency in SQL with experience in optimizing database operations.
• Experience with AWS Environment (e.g., S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS) is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with an algorithmic approach.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of working with large data sets and deriving insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team environment collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong experience in Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization) – an advantage.
• Proficiency in ETL processes (data extraction, transformation, and loading) with a focus on automation and scalability.
• Ability to design and optimize data pipelines for large-scale analytics.
• Experience designing and maintaining BI data models, with a strong understanding of star schema and dimensional modeling
