Senior AI Engineer (Part-Time, Freelance) – Neradot

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join us on a part-time freelance basis. This role is ideal for professionals seeking to apply their AI expertise in high-impact, client-facing projects — with the flexibility of freelance work and the collaboration of an in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom AI applications tailored to client domains and business needs
• Collaborate closely with clients to define requirements, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly
• Conduct applied research with Large Language Models (LLMs) and agent-based frameworks
• Contribute to the evolution of Neradot's AI platform, tools, and internal methodology
• Develop orchestration logic, train models when needed, and define performance metrics

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Proficient in Python, including experience with scientific libraries and backend development
• 5+ years working with LLMs and NLP, with deep understanding of language model architectures and NLP pipelines
• Proven track record in building AI applications and autonomous agent workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fine-tuning or training LLMs
• Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on NLP or agent systems
