The Microscopy Unit of the Life Science and Engineering (LS&E) Infrastructure Center at Technion is one of Israel’s leading imaging facilities, offering access to 10 advanced imaging systems for approximately 80 users per year. The facility provides a wide range of imaging technologies, including:

• Wide-field microscopy
• Laser scanning confocal microscopy
• Spinning disk confocal microscopy
• Two-photon microscopy
• Light sheet microscopy
• TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence) microscopy
• Super-resolution light microscopy

Job Description

The LS&E Infrastructure Center is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Light Microscopy Imaging Specialist to join our team. The position involves supporting a diverse range of imaging projects in cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, genetics, neurobiology, biochemistry, bioengineering, and biophysics.

Responsibilities include:

✔ Providing expertise and support for imaging projects, particularly in wide-field microscopy, laser scanning confocal microscopy, light sheet microscopy, and two-photon microscopy.

✔ Advising researchers on experimental design, sample preparation, and image acquisition strategies.

✔ Training users in basic and advanced light microscopy techniques.

✔ Maintaining and servicing imaging systems.

✔ Exploring new imaging technologies, organizing instrument demonstrations, and troubleshooting new imaging systems.
