תיאור התפקיד:

1. הכנת מעבדות הוראה ומחקר לסטודנטים בתחומי מדעי החיים.
2. ניהול מעבדת מחקר בתחום גנומיקה פונקציונאלית.
3. סיוע בביצוע עבודות מחקר בביולוגיה אורגניזמית, פיזיולוגיה, ביוכימיה, ביולוגיה של התא וביולוגיה מולקולרית.
4. מתן סיוע והדרכה במעבדות לסטודנטים לתואר ראשון ולתארים מתקדמים.
5. גידול סרטני מים ותרביות תאים המשמשים למחקר.
6. אחריות לארגון, תיקון ותחזוקת מכשור וציוד המעבדות.
7. טיפול בהזמנות רכש המעבדות להוראה ומחקר.
8. אחריות על סדרי הבטיחות במסגרת פעילותו, בהתאם לדרישות החוק.
9. ביצוע מטלות נוספות בהנחיית הממונה.
10. כפיפות: מרכזת מעבדות הוראה ומחקר.

דרישות התפקיד:

1. תואר שני במדעי החיים. רצוי- תואר שלישי.
2. ניסיון של 4 שנים בתחומים רלוונטיים.
3. ניסיון עבודה עם ניסויים בביולוגיה מולקולרית, ביוכימיה או פיזיולוגיה.
4. בעל/ת רישיון נהיגה.
5. רצוי - ניסיון עבודה בארגון ותחזוקת מעבדות הוראה ומחקר.
6. רצוי- ניסיון בהדרכה.

Teaching and Research Laboratory Engineer

Job Description:

A. Preparation of teaching and research laboratories for students in the field of life sciences.

B. Management of a research laboratory in the field of functional genomics.

C. Assisting in the execution of research projects in organismal biology, physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology.

D. Providing support and guidance in laboratories for undergraduate and graduate students.

E. Cultivation of aquatic invertebrates and cell cultures used for research purposes.

F. Responsibility for organizing, repairing, and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.

G. Handling procurement orders for teaching and research laboratories.

H. Responsibility for safety regulations in the scope of the position, in accordance with legal requirements.

I. Performing additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.

J. Reporting to: Head of Teaching and Research Laboratories.

Job Requirements:

A. Master’s degree in life sciences. PhD preferred.

B. At least 4 years of relevant experience.

C. Experience working with experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or physiology.

D. Valid driver’s license.

E. Preferred – experience in organizing and maintaining teaching and research laboratories.

F. Preferred – experience in training/instruction.

Scope: 50% position
