Senior ASR Research Scientist

We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior ASR Research Scientist to play a key role in developing and deploying innovative ASR-based products, directly shaping Gong’s product strategy.

As a Senior ASR Research Scientist, You Will

• Build, improve, and maintain Gong’s speech technology, working on speech recognition across multiple languages, diarization, and language identification.
• Develop downstream tasks, integrating transcription and LLMs to create cutting-edge products.
• Conduct hands-on research to advance real-time transcription, diarization, and other speech capabilities, ensuring robust, production-grade algorithms that drive business value.
• Develop and deploy ASR- and LLM-based products, optimizing models for real-world performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape Gong’s machine learning strategy.
• Mentor team members, fostering knowledge sharing and staying up to date with the latest ML advancements.
• Your work will impact thousands of businesses by enhancing the accuracy and intelligence of Gong’s speech understanding capabilities.
  
  

You Should Apply If You Have

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in an exact sciences field, or 3+ years of industry experience in ASR research and production.
• Expertise in Speech Recognition research, particularly with Deep Learning-based methods such as Wav2vec, Whisper, and Transformers.
• Experience working with LLMs and projects at the intersection of speech recognition and NLP.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning disciplines and algorithms, with proven experience in delivering end-to-end algorithmic solutions, from research to production.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, with a solid understanding of experiment design, data analysis, and performance evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Published papers in peer-reviewed journals or conferences related to statistics, machine learning, or neural networks (advantage)
