We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior VLSI Physical Design (Backend) Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Technically Lead the physical design flow for complex VLSI chips, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement physical design flows and methodologies, including floorplanning, placement, routing, IR drop and Timing closure.
• Drive the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flow automation
• Perform physical verification, including DRC, LVS, and ERC, to ensure design compliance with manufacturing standards.
• Optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics through advanced techniques and tools.
• Collaborate with other design teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of design specifications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in VLSI Physical design.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in VLSI physical design, with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Excellent familiarity with all Physical Design implementation flows and techniques, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure.
• Proficiency in Synopsys EDA tools (Cadence is an advantage).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
• Strong understanding of physical verification processes, including DRC, LVS, and ERC.
• Experience with power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with advanced technology nodes (FinFET and beyond).
