Procurement Buyer

GreenOnyx, an innovative Ag-tech/Food-tech startup based in Tel Aviv, is seeking an experienced Buyer/Procurement Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the procurement of goods and services, establishing supply chains, and ensuring competitive pricing without compromising quality. This role requires a people-oriented individual who excels at building relationships and fostering collaboration. as the Procurement Buyer will manage responsibilities both internally—by coordinating with stakeholders across teams—and externally—by engaging with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and other external partners.

Key Responsibilities

·      Play a key role in establishing and building company policies, ensuring a solid foundation for growth and scalability.

·      Hands-on skills and a proactive approach to developing and implementing effective procedures and processes.

·      Working closely with development departments to understand their purchasing requirements and ensure alignment with overall company goals.

·      Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors.

·      Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of products to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.

·      Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

·      Manage inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate logistics to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

·      Resolve any issues related to the quality, delivery, or pricing of purchased goods and services.

·      Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels.

·      Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

·      Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement.

Qualifications:

·      Holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

·      Brings 3 years of proven experience as a Buyer/Procurement Manager.

• Demonstrates strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibits excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems (Preference for SAP Business One) and Microsoft Office.
• Possesses knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Capable of analyzing market trends for informed purchasing decisions.
• knowledge of import & export transactions includes Incoterms rules  - advantage.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Effective in communication, negotiation, interpersonal relationships, solving emergencies and stressful situations.
• Able to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Independent, fast learner, self-motivated, capable of multitasking with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Embraces a startup mentality—flexible, agile, open-minded, ready to exceed responsibilities as a team player.
• Fluent in English with proficient reading and writing skills
