HW Design Team Lead

Ramon Space is seeking an experienced Hardware Team Leader to drive the design and development of cutting-edge hardware solutions for space-based computing, storage, and communication systems. This role involves leading a team of board designers through the entire hardware development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, reliable performance in space environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of hardware engineers through all development phases, from architecture definition to implementation, bring-up, and final release
• Own the full hardware development cycle, including electrical specification, schematic design, component selection, signal/power integrity (SI/PI) simulations, and layout considerations.
• Conduct extensive lab testing and validation to ensure compliance with system requirements.
• Integrate knowledge of electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software into a robust system architecture.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Mechanics, Software, NPI, and System Validation.
• Manage subcontractors for layout, SI/PI simulations, and additional hardware design support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hardware design.
• 2+ years of experience leading a hardware design team.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors for layout, SI/PI simulation, and hardware development.
• Experience in board design for space environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical design and thermal analysis (a plus).
• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Highly motivated leader with strong teamwork skills and a results-driven mindset.
