Senior Java Software Engineer

Looking for a Java Backend Engineer | Data Platform Team

I'm recruiting on behalf of a fast-moving, data-driven tech company that's building out its core data platform — and we're looking for a strong Java Backend Engineer to join the team.

This role is all about owning the design and implementation of real-time, scalable data infrastructure that supports business-critical decisions. You’ll work alongside top-notch data scientists, analysts, and engineers to bring real impact through data.

What you'll do:

✔ Design, build, and maintain modern data pipelines

✔ Implement real-time streaming with Kafka

✔ Develop robust services using Java (Spring Boot)

✔ Ensure data integrity and high availability

✔ Use AWS for storage, processing, and analytics

✔ Optimize performance, monitor bottlenecks

✔ Collaborate across teams on data initiatives

What we're looking for:

🔹 4+ years of backend experience

🔹 Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka

🔹 Strong hands-on experience with AWS

🔹 Experience with microservices and streaming architectures

🔹 Bonus: ETL, Python or NodeJS

🔹 Must: familiarity with GenAI tools

🔹 Independent, curious, and detail-oriented

200 people overall, including 70 in R&D. Based in Tel Aviv near the train station. Data-first, product-led, and moving fast. You’ll enjoy a hybrid setup (3 days WFH), a high level of ownership, and a team that loves clean architecture and real-time systems.
