Procurement Buyer

Silicom is seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer for strategic management of mechanical and electromechanical suppliers.

Job Description:

• Procurement and strategic management of mechanical and electromechanical suppliers
• Commercial and logistical management with Far East subcontractors
• Resolving technical and procurement-related issues as needed
• Monitoring and managing inventory of strategic components

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a procurement buyer
• Strong technical knowledge – a must
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost structures
• High-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Experience working in a computerized environment, including proficiency in Excel and MRP systems
• Experience in electronics procurement and subcontractor management – an advantage
• Relevant academic background
