תיאור התפקיד:

1. תכנון ופיתוח של מערכות ניסוי ממוחשבות המיועדות למדידות בתנאי מעבדה ושדה בתחומי פעילות המחלקה.
2. אחריות לתפעול שוטף של מערכות המדידה מבחינת חומרה ותוכנה.
3. מתן סיוע והדרכה טכנית למעבדות ההוראה והמחקר במחלקה.
4. מתן הדרכה, הנחייה וסיוע לסטודנטים המשתמשים במערכות הניסוי במעבדה ובתחנות המחקר בשדה, ומחוץ לאוניברסיטה.
5. הזמנת מכשור וציוד למעבדות בתחומי פעילות החוקרים, ובתיאום עימם.
6. ביצוע מטלות בסיוע ובתאום עם החוקרים במחלקה.
7. אחריות על סדרי הבטיחות במסגרת פעילותו, בהתאם לדרישות החוק.
8. מתן סיוע וגיבוי לבעלי התפקיד במחלקה.
9. ביצוע מטלות נוספות בהתאם להנחיות הממונה.
10. כפיפות: ראש המחלקה למדעי הסביבה גאואינפורמטיקה ותכנון ערים.

דרישות התפקיד:

1. תואר אקדמי בפיזיקה או בהנדסת מכונות או כימית או תוכנה או מחשבים, חשמל ואלקטרוניקה.
2. ניסיון של שנתיים בתחומים רלוונטיים.
3. ניסיון עבודה עם מכשור אלקטרוני.
4. רצוי- ניסיון עבודה עם מכשירי מדידה מדעיים.

Teaching and Research Laboratory Engineer

Department of Environmental Sciences, Geoinformatics and Urban Planning

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Job Description:

a. Planning and development of computerized experimental systems intended for measurements in laboratory and field conditions in the department’s areas of activity.

b. Responsibility for the ongoing operation of measurement systems, including hardware and software aspects.

c. Providing technical assistance and training for the department’s teaching and research laboratories.

d. Instructing, guiding, and assisting students using experimental systems in the laboratory, at field research stations, and outside the university.

e. Ordering laboratory instruments and equipment in coordination with the researchers and based on their fields of activity.

f. Performing tasks in collaboration and coordination with the department's researchers.

g. Ensuring safety procedures are followed within the scope of activities, according to legal requirements.

h. Providing assistance and support to departmental staff as needed.

i. Performing additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

j. Reports to: Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, Geoinformatics and Urban Planning.

Job Requirements:

a. Academic degree in Physics, or Mechanical, Chemical, Software, Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

b. At least two years of relevant experience.

c. Experience working with electronic instruments.

d. Preferred: experience with scientific measurement equipment.

Scope of Position: 50%
