Opto-mechanical engineer

Landa Labes recruiting a mechanical engineer for design of an electro-optical system, optical setups, chip assembly and characterization setups and finding solutions in the field of optical packaging and system design

Areas of Responsibility:

• Opto-mechanical design for assembly, characterization and package of micro-optical components.

• Design of chip assembly tools

• Stress and thermal simulations

• Design and fabrication of lab setups

• Design of chip cooling systems

Required skills:

• High level of independency; planning, analysis and deduction

• Hands on, working in chemical labs

• Experience working with subcontractors and machine shops

• High technical understanding

• Experimental data collection and analysis of results

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, teamwork

• Initiative, creativity and intellectual flexibility

Education / Experience:

• Degree in mechanical engineering - Required

• At least 2-3 years of opto-mechanical design - Required

• Familiarity with micro-optics - Advantage

• Familiarity with clean room procedures - Advantage

• Experience with CAD tools. Familiarity with CREO - Advantage
