Mechanical Design Engineer

Landa Labs is recruiting a mechanical engineer for design of an electro-optical system as well as optical lab setups, chip assembly and characterization tools.

Responsibilities

• Finding solutions in the field of optical packaging and system design
• Opto-mechanical design for assembly, characterization and package of micro-optical components.
• Design of chip assembly tools
• Stress and thermal simulations
• Design and fabrication of optical lab test setups
• Design of chip cooling systems

Qualifications

• High level of independency; planning, analysis and deduction
• Hands on, working in optical labs and clean room
• Experience working with subcontractors and machine shops
• High technical understanding
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, teamwork
• Initiative, creativity and intellectual flexibility 

Education / Experience

• Degree in mechanical engineering
• At least 2-3 years of opto-mechanical design
• Familiarity with micro-optics
• Familiarity with clean room procedures
• Experience with CAD tools.
