Blockchain Security Research Team Lead

I’m hiring for a deep-tech company that builds scalable solutions for Bitcoin, combining academic-grade proof systems with real-world impact. They're looking for an experienced Security Researcher to lead the Blockchain Security Research team.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on both low- and high-level vulnerability research, tool development, and proactive defense across decentralized ecosystems. You’ll also take on a strategic leadership role: mentoring researchers, driving security initiatives, and working closely with engineering and product to strengthen the platform's security from the ground up.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

• Led and mentored a team of blockchain security researchers
• Discovering vulnerabilities in smart contracts, compilers, dApps, and blockchain protocols
• Building in-house tools for attack detection and prevention
• Conducting deep-dive forensic analysis of on-chain activity and contract behavior
• Tracking emerging threats and staying ahead of evolving attack techniques
• Designing custom security solutions for protocols and decentralized systems
• Enhancing monitoring and detection capabilities for blockchain-based environments
• Worked cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams
• Driving internal research efforts and contributing to broader industry best practices

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security research
• 3+ years of experience leading security teams or defining technical strategy
• Deep understanding of vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, and mitigation
• Proficient in Python, Rust, C++, or similar languages
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset

• Deep knowledge of blockchain security, attack vectors, and forensics
• Experience with Starknet, Ethereum, Bitcoin, or similar networks
• Background in fast-paced or startup environments
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
