Senior Software Engineer

Predicto is a data-driven publishing platform that leverages real-time analytics and predictive modeling to forecast future content interests. We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain back-end web applications and software systems. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to build large-scale, cloud-based systems using Python. You will also ensure that our systems adhere to the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the team to shape and refine our cutting-edge solutions.
• Develop clean, efficient Python scripts, maintain Django-based applications, and ensure system reliability and performance on Linux-based environments.
• Build scalable solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets using advanced methodologies and big data technologies.
• Contribute to distributed system architecture and microservices, integrating complex components for seamless performance and maintainability.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (or similar platforms), leveraging containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for CI/CD.
• Tackle complex technical challenges and quickly respond to client needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, follow best practices in software development, and ensure code quality through thorough reviews.
• Provide timely responses to client inquiries, troubleshoot urgent issues.
• Contribute to user-facing features in Angular/React (or similar frameworks), ensuring seamless integration with backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4-5 years in software development, preferably in data-driven or analytics-oriented environments (back-end or full-stack).
• Strong proficiency in Python and back-end development
• Experience with Django, Linux, and microservices
• Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, demonstrating strong database design skills
• Managing large-scale SQL databases and optimizing system performance
• Solid understanding of distributed system architecture and system design
• Hands-on experience with AWS (preferred) or other cloud platforms, plus containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, ECR, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
