Data Engineer

A high-tech cybersecurity company in the automotive sector develops cybersecurity solutions to prevent remote attacks and takeovers of all types of connected vehicles, including autonomous and electric cars. Its solutions include in-vehicle security technologies and monitoring systems that detect security vulnerabilities in the vehicle itself, control centers, and the cloud.

The company has contracts with over 20 automakers worldwide, totaling tens of millions of euros, with its system set to be installed in approximately 65 million vehicles in the coming years.

Located in central Israel near a train station, the company operates with a hybrid model of two remote workdays per week and has 200 employees.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development projects of critical, high-availability, cloud-scale services and APIs
• Support clients with large amounts of data and scalability in mind
• Take part in all development stages – from design to deployment
• Develop and deploy real time/batch data processing pipelines using the latest technologies
• Design and build high-availability, cloud-scale data pipelines (ETLs)

Requirement:

• 3 years of experience in large scale, distributed server side, backend development
• 3 years of experience developing using Scala
• Extensive experience in stream & batch big data pipeline processing using Apache Spark
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience in working with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP)
