Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to oversee the release process for our software updates. The Release Manager will lead the Release Management team. He will coordinate various teams, track progress, manage risks, and resolve conflicts to ensure successful product releases. The ideal candidate is experienced in Release Management familiar with project management principles, is an expert at problem-solving, and has a strong understanding of software development cycles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the progress of software releases from planning to execution and verification.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful releases.
• Develop and implement release strategies and schedules.
• Identify and manage risks that may affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
• Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities, including the execution of deployment plans and checklists.
• Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews.
• Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
• Work with release engineers to understand the impacts of branches and code merges.
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in release management or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various teams.
• Familiarity with release management tools and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
