💼 Role Overview

The Director of Engineering for the Pixellot Coaching Analytics Platform will provide strategic leadership and technical direction for developing a comprehensive sports analysis system. This platform integrates advanced video editing capabilities with performance analytics tools to help coaches analyze games, create teaching materials, and improve athlete performance.

• Develop the technical roadmap and architecture for our platform, balancing innovation with practical coaching needs
• Guide technical decisions across video processing, data visualization, and analytics while maintaining focus on performance and scalability
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence through mentorship and knowledge-sharing

• Lead specialized engineering teams across multiple disciplines and coordinate development across platform components
• Translate coaching requirements into technical solutions through close collaboration with product, design, and sports domain experts
• Drive the creation of intuitive video editing and analytics tools designed explicitly for coaching applications

• 8+ years of engineering leadership with at least 4 years at a group (several teams) level
• Proven track record delivering complex SaaS applications combining video and data analytics
• Experience building products for specialized user segments with unique domain requirements

• Deep understanding of video processing technologies and performance optimization
• Expertise in data visualization and analytics for actionable insights
• Knowledge of modern web application architectures and responsive design

• Exceptional communication skills to engage with both technical teams and coaching professionals
• Ability to extract the maximum from multiple teams working in a complex environment
• Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to work directly with partners and account executives
