CTO - Co-founder, AI-driven Moderation

We are here to build Cloudinary’s next big thing. We accelerate Cloudinary’s business growth by quickly developing & validating new product ideas in search of product-market fit. The potential impact is huge, we have a lot on our plate, and we could use some help around here.

Cloudinary is seeking an R&D Lead to lead the development of Moderation, a new product being built in its Emerging Business group. Moderation will leverage visual media AI to perform brand-aligned moderation of images and videos. We’re a small-sized, high-paced, and incredibly independent team. We take full end-to-end ownership of our product - from design and development to deployment and testing.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on role in all development efforts, operating as both a leader and an individual contributor, like a Co-founder & CTO
• Co-lead the venture alongside its GM as a counterpart
• Develop deep understanding of the target user persona’s needs, and passion for the underlying market problem, to build a product that would delight them
• Leverage Cloudinary’s powerful platform to get a product to market as soon as possible, only developing what will move the needle
• Constantly adjust focus to what is needed to make the product/venture successful
  
  

• 10+ years of development experience
• 3+ years of development manager experience
• Proficient in Python and have experience with machine learning/LLM/Gen AI libraries and frameworks
• Extensive experience serving large Enterprise customers - a strong advantage
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of image or video technologies is an advantage
• Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and web technologies
• Enthusiastic, humble, and user-centric
• Eager to learn new things
